How Edlyst works

Three calm steps from curiosity to confidence—stay focused on the landscape, not the interface

Edlyst is designed for moments when you are outside, gloves on, light shifting. The flow stays short so you get an answer and get back to observing.

1. Capture or upload

Use live view for plants in situ or bring in a crisp photo from your gallery. Clear shots of leaves, flowers, fruit, or bark help narrow candidates faster.

2. Review candidates

Edlyst ranks possibilities with imagery, range cues, and distinguishing traits side by side. Use what you already know—habitat, season, growth form—to rule in or out lookalikes.

3. Confirm and learn

Save the identification, read natural history at a glance, and return later as the plant changes through the year. Your observation history becomes a structured record you can revisit and share.
